CGRS Week 11

Who could believe that this is week 11. I’m happy to report that our guest this week is Robin Rumpf, Stage Manager extraordinaire. She and I will discuss the state of the industry so far and talk a little bit about the stage manager’s role in audience participation. Bookmark this page and we’ll post our discussion video as well as a synopsis for those who are interested in reading the content.

As always, please forward anyone you know who might be interested in this group’s chats to this page or any blog page here so they can use the form to the right to sign up for updates and invites to the Zoom meetings (or whatever platform we’re using that week).

In the meantime here are some links we are discussing, please take a look.

MICROSOFT ANALYZED DATA ON ITS NEWLY REMOTE WORKFORCE
Our research started from a place of deep empathy for our colleagues and great curiosity about their capacity to adapt. We had few hypotheses but many burning questions, such as:

  • How will employees integrate — and separate — work and home life under the same roof?
  • Will we be able to maintain our relationships and networks without our typical face-to-face connections?
  • Will we collaborate differently in order to get our work done?
  • How will managers support and engage fully remote teams?
